The Smiling Shadow prefers words over claws: cruel taunts, sharp insults, and ruthless threats that cut deeper than any strike. Its purpose is always the same, wear down a child’s will until there’s nothing left to fight with.
What’s most unsettling is its shifting form. Sometimes it shrinks into a flimsy, almost pitiful shadow, pretending to be weak. Other times it rises tall and monstrous, a towering figure that may be nothing more than a mask of power. No one knows what its real form looks like, if it even has one, because its very nature is deception.
